In Thailand, there is no requirement to have a license to be a real estate agent. With that said, it is very difficult to compete in the now globalized real estate market. However, there are ways you can take to become a more professional and experienced real estate agent. One step that you can take is to complete a pre-licensing course.

The course will teach you the basics of real estate law and practice Thailand. You can find pre-licensing courses offered by many real estate schools and training programs in Thailand. Thai Real Estate Community (TREC), has joined forces with the USA based Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), the largest affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) to further the education of Thai real estate professionals.

One of the flagship courses of RRC is the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation. Certified Residential Specialist (CRS): The CRS designation is awarded by the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC). To qualify for the CRS designation, you must have at least 3 years of experience as a real estate agent in Thailand. Earning a real estate designation is a great way to demonstrate your expertise and professionalism to potential clients.

It can also help you get ahead in your career and earn more money. There are also certification classes that you can choose from that can also enhance and level up your knowledge in the real estate field. If you are serious about a career in real estate in Thailand, I encourage you to take advantage of the higher international education to become a more professional and experienced real estate agent.
