Great to have our Board of Directors in person this week in Chicago. Together in partnership with staff, a 3-year strategic plan was mapped out for the Council at our global headquarters (the plan will be shared in early Fall). Having Ron Phipps, 2011 Past NAR President, as our facilitator was a true gift; his global industry experience, relaxed style, and astute observations as a passive card-carrying CRS designee helped guide conversations, thoughts, and consensus.
Staff and leaders also gathered for a meet-and-greet in the iconic “RRC Cafe”, some nice face time for such a geographically dispersed group. A true gathering of thought leaders. Now the event is over and the weekend is in full swing, come Monday its time to adapt to the mantra of Southwest Airlines founder Herb Kelleher: “We have a strategic plan, its called doing things!
